This is an SN&R Capital Cannabis insert cover entry. The prompt for this issue was "normalization". Together with a copywriter, we wanted to explore the concept of what a "stoner" is and how we can use that concept for our prompt. When we think of a typical "stoner", we tend to think about someone who is lazy and eats a lot. In an effort to counteract that stereotype we scouted a model.
Together with the copyrighter, we scouted for a couple of weeks for the perfect model for our cover. Eventually, we found him. Keegan. We took him around Sacramento and shot some pictures. We discovered that the IMAX on K st. was the perfect place to frame our design.
